Emily's father is Scottish, so he shared the family tradition of a Scotch whisky toast. |
Ryan & Emily's vows were possibly the sweetest words I've ever heard a couple exchange. After a few shots, I had to just put my camera down and listen to what they were saying. |
Emily incorporated her career as a teacher into the place cards. Guests had a lot of fun figuring out a short math problem to get to their tables. |
Emily and Ryan's wedding was never going to be common. The first time we spoke on the phone, Emily exuded such confidence and attention to detail. This was a bride who knew exactly what she wanted and her wedding shows it. The farm-style table settings with warm pinks and creams perfectly off-set the winter weather. A good friend of the family made the beautiful flower arrangements. This couple settled on a delicious brunch with board games, which totally accomplished their ultimate goal: "To just really have fun with family and friends-- and get great pictures of it all." Emily's mother and Ryan's father hand-made most of the games. Callawassie Island Golf Club outdid themselves with the food (trust me, I am speaking from a personal taste-test). Though the temperature dropped too low for the original riverside ceremony, we did sneak out to the Sugar Mill Ruins for a few gorgeous couples portraits. I hope y'all enjoyed these images as much as I enjoyed being a part of this beautiful wedding!
